I know, I know, It has definitely been a while..& I sincerely do apologize..
The good thing is, i HAVE been writing, it was just finding the time to post that was so difficult.

Dazed in the midst within thoughts of you,
Lost in confusion with no idea what to do.

Caught up in the fog created outside,
The negative thoughts my mind tries to override.

For some strange reason, I kind of believed it could happen,
He'd sweep me off my feet & I'd finally be happy,

& I'd finally find someone who understands.
I had hope in the possibility of him becoming my man.
Damn...

But I guess it was too good to be true,
I was right when I said I wasn't good enough for you.

My hopes were up & my heart was held high,
Then you let go, and for a moment I died...

But then I woke up and began to think.
I swallowed my anger & left my emotions to drink.

& soon I understood that selfishness isn't the key,
That worrying about only my emotions just isn't going to help me.

That very moment I realized I would make it through the rain,
For, as long as you're happy
I shall not complain...
